This is my ALPS Mountaineering Dining Table review! One of the many comforts that we have at home is having a table where we can enjoy our meals. However, when we want to enjoy the outdoors, we don’t bother bringing one because it is bulky and heavy and it just isn’t practical for us to do so.
But not all desks are big, heavy and bulky. Today we find some that can be easily packed and unpacked. You can conveniently take them with you when you go on your camping adventures. There are various aluminum outdoor tables and they come in a variety of sizes.
The ALPS Mountaineering Camping Tables
One of the brands that offer aluminum tables for outdoor use is ALPS Mountaineering. They offer highly-rated, foldable aluminum bench in 3 different sizes. The high ratings made me decide to evaluate them myself and generate my own review to see if they are really good. Here I will tell you about their features, the pros and cons, as well as my opinion of them.

The X-frame design also ensures that your knees have adequate room to move while providing enough support for the top. No more banging your knees on the support when sitting down at it to enjoy your meal!
You can fold the aluminum top into a nice, compact size when it’s not in use. It is very easy to unfold and place on top of the frame where it is secured in place. The panels are interconnected through the use of elastics; these are not visible once the desk is set up for use.
The table is best for lightweight use but it is possible to place a camping stove or portable grill on top of it. It can withstand the heat that the stove or grill would produce without being damaged. You can easily clean it by wiping it with some paper towels or by simply hosing it down when it becomes too dirty. It dries easily and then you can store it.
Plastic foot covers are provided to protect your floor surface when you use it indoors.
Your ALPS Mountaineering Dining Table will come with a convenient carry bag with a strap so you can easily carry it over your shoulder. There are many likable things about the ALPS Mountaineering Dining table. I especially liked its functional design that allows folding for easy storage while providing a spacious area for the legs. It’s also very easy to assemble and disassemble. It looks smart and simple, yet it remains very functional.
I like how lightweight it is and that it comes with its own carry bag. This makes it so much easier to carry and take on outdoor trips. I also like the choice of sizes and that it is so easy to clean. It’s a versatile table that can be used indoors or out.
The Cons
Although I found much to love about the ALPS Mountaineering Dining Table, there are also some things that I feel could have been better.
- Due to the material used, it may not be as heavy duty as I might have wanted; however, it is still very functional for lightweight use, such as the preparation of food or for dining at;
- Its light weight can be a good thing but it can also add to the wobbliness that a few people complain about;
- Due to the counter’s metal construction, there is a possibility of corrosion, especially if it is not properly taken care of. These are just simple and minor details that I didn’t like about the tables but I believe they could be easily remedied;
- Can be a bit wobbly.
Verdict
Considering the features of this item and taking into consideration all the pros and cons, the ALPS Mountaineering Dining Table is still a good buy. In fact, I recommend it if you are looking for extra dining space for outdoor or indoor use. Just make sure that you use this one on a level surface to lessen the wobbliness, and don’t overload it.
